5e~ <br />Attorney Currens said Don Adams was present with a request for annexation for rritrety- <br />two acres he owns and adjoins Town of 1Vlooresville'spreperty south of Town off <br />Flighway 67 and the T(~A property. A motion was made by Councilman Clark a second <br />by Council.mar~ Bryant to accept the request for annexation. Motion earr-ied 4-0. Mr. <br />Adams will give the legal description to Attorney Currens. <br />Police Commissioner Dean Kayes reported to the council the Police Comnrissiorr had <br />held an executive session on the previous 'T'hursday to interview candidates for patrolmerx <br />and they will meet on Monday, :February 9, 2004 at 6:001'. M. to select the two final <br />candidates and offer- them a position. Councilman Bryant asked about the Town's public <br />nuisance ordinance, ho said he wasn't very familiar with. it, but it had been indicated to <br />him. thru Chief Viles that it needs some revising. Is that something we can have Dean <br />take back to Chief Viles? Town attorney Currens said he had a meeting with Chief Viles <br />err Wednesday and lre would be happy to ask. hire about the ordinance. Dean Kayes said <br />Chief Viles told Nina he had approx.irmatelyceven ordinances to look. at for revisions. <br />Councilman Bryant said he would like the ideas on tlae public nuisance ordinance by the <br />next meeting. Attorney Currens will be out of Town but will. contact Councilman Bryant <br />at the end of tlii.s week.. <br />No animal control report was availGrhle. <br />A motion was made; by Councilman Clark, a second by Councilman Bryant to approve <br />payment of the claims. Perms y,, Clerk-Treasu <br />February 17, 2004 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met im regular session err Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at <br />6:30 P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Council members present were: President Tom Warthen, Troy Bryant, John L. Clark, <br />Toby Dolen, and Eric Shields. The Clerk-Treasurer after the invocation gave the oath of <br />office to the new member, Eric Shields. <br />Greg Bailey, First Christian Church, gave the invocation. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark and a second by Councilman Dolen to approve <br />the minutes of the February 3, 2004 meeting. Motion carried S-0. <br />
