This is the last year of their abatement. Sandra <br /> Jenkins, owner, was present. They met their employee goal and were up a little in <br /> investment. <br /> Honey and Me was the next abatement. Tom Liffxck, owner was present. He reported to <br /> the council that with the economy down people were not buying interior and decorative <br /> products. In 2005 they had 55 employees. July to November is their busy season. The <br /> company had a six year abatement. The investment is more than estimated but <br /> employees down to 11. The council looked at the matrix and with the 11 employees they <br /> would only have lost two points and still be within the six year abatement. <br /> Capital Adhesives is in the last year of abatement. The company is up in employees and <br /> investment. <br /> General Shale Brick, Inc., Resolution 6, 2006, a ten year abatement on real and personal <br /> property. The company is down in estimated employees but has exceeded investment <br /> amounts. Mike Stacy, owner,told the council the housing industry is still down, but they <br /> are seeing some improvement. Not counting points for jobs on the matrix they would <br /> still be qualified for ten year abatement. The first plant was built in 1969. <br /> Nice-Pak was next with three personal property ten year abatements. They were up in <br /> employees and investments. Steve Bennett and Brett Denneman were present and <br /> reporting everything was going well and extended an invitation to the council to tour the <br /> facility. <br /> Next, Overton& Sons Tool &Die,having one abatement on real property and four <br /> abatements on personal property. The employees were up and investment costs close to <br /> estimated costs. Rita Shearer from Overton& Sons Tool &Die was present. She <br /> reported 2009 was a difficult year and it took all of 2010 to get out of it. She told the <br /> Council things were looking up now and 2011 should be a good year. <br /> ProBuild Company LLC was next. The first two abatements are in their last year. The <br /> company is up in employees and investment. The last two abatements were real and <br /> personal property, Resolution 9, 2010 and the project has not been completed as of yet. <br /> The assessment may not be done or the county assessor may do a partial assessment. The <br /> council will not vote on these two abatements CF-1's at this time. <br /> RSR Investment LLC (Cougar Bag)was the next CF-1. The real property abatement has <br /> one more year and the personal property is in the last year. The company is down about <br /> five employees but the investment is on target. Councilman Langley said that five <br /> employees down would not change abatement matrix score. <br /> TOA(USA) LLC was next with five abatements for real property and four abatements <br /> for personal property. Tim Clayton was present and reported the March catastrophe in <br /> Japan affected the company and then Toyota took a dip that lasted a month and before <br /> these occurrences they were running in overtime mode. They expect to raise the <br /> employee count from 323 to 340 or so in the next couple of months plus they have 205 <br /> temporaries equaling 528 employees. <br /> Next was the CF-1 for Signature Skylights. The company has one more year on their <br /> abatement for real and personal property. Their investment was over the estimated <br /> amount and employees were a little under estimated amount. Bob Sloane told the council <br /> the company took a dip last year due to the construction industry being slow but business <br /> was picking up now and they should be up to 80 or 90 employees soon. Councilman <br /> Langley said the company actually lost 2 points due to number of employees but gained 3 <br /> points on investment so they were plus 1 point on the matrix. <br /> The last CF-1 was for PacMoore Process Technologies, LLC. The original abatement <br /> was in 2005 and was a ten year abatement on real and personal property. Adam <br /> Rawlings and Scott Reed were present and reported they were actually at 95 employees <br /> and they are investing five million dollars in capital. The company is adding a processing <br /> system and will be hiring ten more employees by September of 2011. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Mathis to <br /> approve all of the CF-1's except for Mt. Olive Manufacturing and Live Oak, LLC. <br /> Motion carried 4-0. <br />
