1022 <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilwoman Perry to <br /> approve payment of claims in the amount of$80,340.42. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br /> made by Councilman Cook with a second by Councilxata Langley to adjourn the <br /> meeting. Perry, Clerk-Treas er <br /> February 8,2012 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met for a Public Hearing concerning a CDBG grant. <br /> Town Council members present: President George Watkins,Vice-President Mark <br /> Mathis, Tony Langley, and Virginia Perry. Jeff Cook was absent. <br /> Amy Miller, Cornerstone Grant Management,reported the maximum amount of the grant <br /> award is $500,000 and the Town will contribute $300,000.00 to make a total of$800,000 <br /> for the project. This is a wastewater project. The goal is to get sewage out of peoples <br /> homes and yards. The proposal is due February 10, 2012,the application is due June 8�', <br /> 2012 and the award of the grant is August 31,2012. <br /> The application will have engineering cost estimates,permits identified, site control, etc. <br /> An income survey may be required but hopefully can use the old study. <br /> There is only one funding round this year, usually there are two rounds. The state allows <br /> two grants open at the same time. <br /> Only comment from the audience was Jeff Scalf saying he is happy Amy is helping the <br /> council and he hoped the council embraced the project. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilwoman Perry to <br /> adjourn the hearing. Motion carried 5-0. Hearing was closed. <br /> February 21, 2012 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday,F_ ebruary 21, 2012 at <br /> 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Town Council members present: Vice President Mark Mathis, Tony Langley,Virginia <br /> Perry, and Jeff Cook. Council President George Watkins was absent. Town attorney <br /> Tim Curren was present. <br /> Randall Garing,Nazarene Church, gave the prayer. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilwoman Perry to <br /> approve minutes of February 7t', 2012. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Next was the public hearing for PacMoore confirmatory resolution for abatement on real <br /> property for 10 years. Joy Sessing spoke about the expansion to PacMoore including <br /> 87,000 square feet of warehouse space and 5,000 square feet of office space. The cost of <br /> the expansion is $3,900,000 and will add 25 employees and$500,000 in payroll dollars. <br /> Councilwoman Virginia Perry had the following comments. (insert) <br />
