MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> MINUTES <br /> January 12, 2006 <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met on Thursday January 12, 2006, at 6:00 <br /> P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> Member present were Jon Swisher, Mike Young and Charles. Absent were Alan Kramer <br /> and Don Barry. Town Attorney, Tim Currens, was present. <br /> A motion was made by Charles McGuire, second by Mike Young, to approve the minutes <br /> of the November 10, 2005 meeting. Motion carried 3-0. A motion to approve the <br /> minutes of the December 8, 2005 meeting was made by Charles McGuire, second by <br /> Mike Young. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> First on the agenda was Ross Holloway, Holloway Engineering, representing Daryl <br /> Swinney. They were requesting a variance for rear setback from thirty feet to twenty <br /> feet for lot 17R at North Madison Crossing. <br /> After the reading of the fact-of-findings a motion was made by Charles McGuire, second <br /> by Mike Young, to approve the variance of the rear setback from thirty feet to twenty <br /> feet. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Next was Max McMaster, 12619 N. Slideoff Road, requesting a variance of setback for a <br /> new garage to set five feet in front of the primary residence. The board asked if there <br /> were any objections from the neighbors and Mr. McMaster said there were not. <br /> A motion was made by Mike Young, second by Charles McGuire, to approve the <br /> variance to allow the new garage to be built five feet in front of the primary residence. <br /> Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Next on the agenda was the election of officers for 2006. A motion to appoint Jon <br /> Swisher as Chairman of the Zoning Board was made by Mike Young, second by Charles <br /> McGuire. Motion carried. A motion to appoint Mike Young as Vice Chairman was <br /> made by Jon Swisher, second by Charles McGuire. Motion carried. A motion was <br /> made to appoint Charles McGuire as Secretary was made by Mike Young, second by Jon <br /> Swisher. Motion carried. <br /> There being no further business before the board a motion to adjourn was made by <br /> Charles McGuire, second by Mike Young. Motion carried. <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals is February 9, 2006 at <br /> 6:00 P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />
