MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> MINUTES <br /> March 8, 2007 <br /> The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met on Thursday March 8, 2007 at 6:00 P.M. <br /> at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Members present were Jon Swisher, Chairman, Mike Young, Alan Kramer, and Neal <br /> Allman. Charles McGuire was absent. Tim Curren, Town Attorney, was present. <br /> Motion was made by Alan Kramer, second by Mike Young, to approve minutes of the <br /> January 4 and February 8, 2007 meetings. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Next was Ross Holloway, Holloway Engineering, representing Fred and Margie <br /> Wyttenbach for property located on the corner of Keys Road and Bethel Church Road, <br /> requesting a variance to not have sidewalks in the development. Mr. Holloway stated <br /> that all the lots except one will be over two acres and there are no businesses to walk to <br /> that will create pedestrian traffic. He does not know of any other large lot development <br /> in the area that has sidewalks. <br /> After the reading of the Facts-of-Findings a motion was made by Alan Kramer, second <br /> by Mike Young,to approve the variance from sidewalks in the Keswick Estates located <br /> . on Bethel Church Road and Keys Road. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Next was Ross Holloway, Holloway Engineering, representing David Dean, First Indiana <br /> Bank, requesting five variances for signs located on the corner of State Roads 67 and <br /> 144. The variances are as follows: <br /> 1. Area variance to allow permitted 2 free standing signs to have an increased <br /> sign area from 50 square feet to 108 square feet each per sign face. <br /> 2. Variance to allow four (4) building mounted sign (1 per building side)having <br /> an area of 54 square feet each for a total area of 216 square feet,being 76 <br /> square feet over the permitted area of 140 square feet. <br /> 3. Variance of setback from street right of way of 25 feet from the required 60 <br /> feet. <br /> 4. Variance to permit free standing signs to have illuminated and animated <br /> motion displays of 33 square feet per sign face. <br /> 5. Variance to permit two internally illuminated direction signs being 36"by <br /> 36". <br /> A motion was made by Alan Kramer, second by Mike Young,to approve the five <br /> variances as stated above. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Mr. Swisher welcomed Mr. Alan Allman to the Board of Zoning Appeals, he replaced <br /> Mr. Don Barry who served on the board for twenty some years. <br />
