• MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> AUGUST 26, 2010 <br /> • <br /> Minutes <br /> The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010,. at <br /> 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Members of the commission present were: Chairman Mike Young, Perry King, Charles <br /> Berwick, Bill Colbert, and Brian Anderson. Town attorney Tim Currens was also present. <br /> The meeting was called at 6:00 p.m. Member Charles Berwick made a motion to accept <br /> the minutes from the July meeting. Member Perry King seconded the motion and the <br /> minutes were passed 5-0. <br /> John Larrison represented Holloway for John Bell-3 who as asking for a minor plat <br /> fronting on the north side of Allison Road. The proposal is to subdivide one lot into three: <br /> a 4-acre parcel, 3-acre parcel, and a 2.9-acre parcel. Larrison said soil samples were taken <br /> and the property is suitable. The commission discussed a few covenants they would like <br /> 7/ to see placed on the property. One was having 50 percent masonry on any home built <br /> / there and a minimu of 1,500 square foot home. <br /> 1910 r „ <br /> Property owner Rapdy Pruden of 574 Allison Road said he would like to be assured that <br /> the property could ave mobile homes placed on the lots. He said he has an 18-acre <br /> Vparcel of land in the area and is afraid it could turn into a mobile home court. Larrison <br /> said the owner would place a covenant on the property that any home built would have to <br /> be stick built on a foundation. <br /> Property owner Herb Hines of 13455 N. Western Road said he was worried that septic <br /> system would not work in the areil►because the ground has a lot of clay. He said he <br /> wanted to make sure they meet all the requirements. <br /> Property owner Susan Hanes of 13434 N. Western Road said she was also concerned <br /> about the septic because of a creek that runs near the property. <br /> Larrison said they had all the property tested and there are two places on each lot were a <br /> septic system could be built. He said he would make sure to get a copy of the soil <br /> analysis that was completed. <br /> The commission gave Larrison a list of items to work on before the project would be <br /> approved. The list included: information on septic, making sure homes are stick build, <br /> making sure homes on foundations, homes be at least 1,500 square feet, <br /> brick/stone/masonry 60 percent, enforcement of covenants, and driveway maintenance. <br /> , 0 <br /> 4k <br />
