• MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> Feb. 25, 2010 <br /> Minutes <br /> The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at 6:00 <br /> p.m. The meeting was held at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Members of the commission present were: Chairman Mike Young, Perry King, Charles <br /> Berwick, Jeff Dieterlen, and Darrell Brown. New board member Beverly Viles arrived <br /> later during the meeting. Town attorney Tim Currens was also present. <br /> The meeting was called at 6:04 p.m. Member Darrell Brown made a motion to accept the <br /> minutes. Charles Berwick seconded the motion. The motion carried 6-0 with none <br /> opposed. <br /> The first item on the agenda was Ross Holloway for Morley's Hope Senior Housing. The <br /> petitioners asked that the item be continued. Member Jeff Dieterlen made a motion to <br /> continue the item. Member Darrell Brown seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0 <br /> with none opposed. <br /> The second item on the agenda was Holloway for Meadow Lake of Mooresville. John <br /> Larrison represented Holloway. The item was a replat of a minor plat. They were asking <br /> for two lots to be divided into three lots. Lot 213 is where the existing building is and lot <br /> 2C will be the dedicated parking lot for the recently approved professional building. <br /> Larrison said he would answer any questions. He said the questions had involved the <br /> parking. The newest drawing better illustrated how the parking lot would be designed. <br /> Town attorney Tim Currens said there was concern since the road in question belongs to <br /> the county. He said the county had deeded that to the town. He said they are in the <br /> process of taking care of that. Member Darrell Brown made a motion to approve the <br /> replat. Member Charles Berwick seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0 with none <br /> opposed. <br /> The third agenda item was Halloway for O'Dells Minor Plat High Street. The item is <br /> from the DeWit Plat of 1879. John Larrison represented Holloway. Town attorney Tim <br /> Currens told the commission that the BZA met and granted all the variances needed on <br /> the item. He said there were a"multitude of them." Larrison said they were just trying to <br /> clean up some long standing messes with property lines and lot lines. O'Dells actually <br /> own portions of eight different lots or vacated streets. They would like to make three lots <br /> out of the property to help make improvements. Lot 1 is the old O'Dell home. Lot 2 is the <br /> beauty shop and a good portion of the parking lot. Lot 3 is the storage facility. Also as <br /> part of cleaning up, they planned to dedicate a 15 foot wide strip which is where the <br /> paved alley to the public. He said the O'Dell sons are working with the owner of Value <br /> Market to deed over a portion of the parking lot to them in order to solve the property line <br />
