MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> MAY 27, 2010 <br /> Minutes <br /> The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session Thursday, May 27, 2010 at <br /> 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Members of the commission present were: Chairman Mike Young, Perry King, Charles <br /> Berwick, Darrell Brown, Beverly Viles, Bill Colbert, and Ann Whaley. Town attorney <br /> Tim Currens was also present. <br /> The meeting was called at 6:00 p.m. Member Charles Berwick made a motion to accept <br /> the minutes. Darrell Brown seconded the motion. The motion carried 7-0 with none <br /> opposed. <br /> The first item on the agenda was a final plat approval for one dwelling in Bridgemor <br /> Village from Holloway. Holloway was represented by John Larrison. Member Ann <br /> Whaley asked if Holloway would be returning for approval every time they get a new <br /> building at Bridgemor. Larrison said that is how the project was set up. Larrison <br /> explained this approval was for building 15. The final in phase 6. The next building will <br /> f be in phase 16. Member Beverly Viles made a motion to approve the plat. Member <br /> Darrell Brown seconded the motion. The item was approved 7-0. <br /> The second item on the agenda was discussion of Race2Win Motorsports Inc. at 2315 <br /> Crosby Road. Community member Kip Miller of 2317 E. Crosby Road returned to the <br /> board after bringing the item before the commission one year ago. The complaint is that a <br /> business is being run out of a residential area. Attorney Tim Currens said there was an. <br /> investigation and that a"cease and desist" order was sent to the owners. Currens said <br /> there is no evidence that the business is still in operation. Resident Todd Seals of 2303 <br /> Crosby Road, another neighbor, said the vehicles going into and out of the residence in <br /> question uses his driveway to go in and out. Currens said the complaints made by the <br /> residents are being taken seriously and there would be further investigation. <br /> The third item on the agenda was Rick and Cindy Grubbs. They had visited the <br /> commission in the past about 10000 Bethel Road. Attorney Tim Currens said he <br /> contacted the owner by letter. <br /> The fourth item on the agenda was a special exception for Indy Lube. Attorney Tim <br /> Currens said the commission's responsibility was to report back to the Board of Zoning <br /> Appeals if the request if the land use was proper for the location. The building in question <br /> is on the property of Mooresville Paint and Body. There are three buildings on the <br /> property and this special exception will only affect the building on the front of the <br /> property. He said there would be light automotive repair, tires, and service performed on <br />
