that the current use would continue under the previously existing <br />variance and that the petitioners had goals which would help <br />take care of some of the existing problems. The board then <br />discussed things such as signs, restrictions on times, expansion <br />and parking. The board inquired of the current number of work <br />stations and beds with a response being that at this time there <br />were two tanning beds and six chairs and work stations. Don Barry <br />said that he felt the traffic in the area was not only from the <br />shop but from other streets cutting through to High Street. <br /> <br /> The chair then proceeded to a discussion of the findings of <br />fact on this variance from the use standards. <br /> <br /> (1) The Board discussed whether or not the approval would be <br /> injurious to the public health, safety, morals and general welfare <br /> of the community with all of the board members finding that <br /> standard being met with the exception of Warren Franklin, and <br /> those finding in favor felt that the current use did not threaten <br /> the general welfare of the community in that it was compatible <br /> with other uses in the area, Warren Franklin stated that he felt <br /> the traffic problem might be detrimental to the safety of the <br /> community. <br /> <br /> (2) That the use and value of the area adjacent to the <br /> property included in the variance would not be affected in a <br /> <br /> substantially adverse manner due <br /> type of use in the past fifteen <br /> in the area. <br /> <br /> Steve Oschman stated that he felt the <br />with the value of the adjacent property. <br /> <br /> to the existing history of this <br /> <br />(15) years and other business uses <br /> <br />late hours might interfere <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br /> <br />
