<br />RESOLUTION Î.. 1999 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Civil Town of Mooresville experienced extreme weather and snow <br /> <br />emergency conditions in January, 1999 creating extraordinary expenses for providing for snow <br /> <br />removal and the health and safety of the citizens of the Civil Town of Mooresville in dealing <br /> <br />with the extreme weather; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, other parts of the State of Indiana experienced similar conditions and <br /> <br />expenses; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Act has provided grants for local <br /> <br />communities to help reimburse the cost of the emergency weather services provided by <br /> <br />government entities to their citizens; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Civil Town of Mooresville is desireth of applying for a grant through <br /> <br />the Federal Emergency Management Act for assistance in the cost of the snow emergency <br /> <br />services provided; <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint an individual to act on the Town's behalf in <br /> <br /> <br />applying for the Grant Applications and in dealing with the Federal Authorities; <br /> <br /> <br />BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Town Council, the governing body of the Civil <br /> <br /> <br />Town of Mooresville, appoints Joseph Beikman as its representative to act pursuant to the <br /> <br />rederal Emergency Management Act to do all things necessary to pursue any Federal Assistance <br /> <br />for reimbursement of the cost provided by the Civil Town of Mooresville in dealing with the <br /> <br />snow emergency of January, 1999. <br /> <br />~ <br />
