<br />r <br />t, <br /> <br />; <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 3 . 1999 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Civil Town of Mooresville experienced extreme weather and snow <br /> <br />emergency conditions in January, 1999 creating extraordinary expenses for providing for snow <br /> <br />removal and the health and safety of the citizens of the Civil Town of Mooresville in dealing <br /> <br />with the extreme weather; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, other parts of the State of Indiana experienced similar conditions and <br /> <br />expenses; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State Emergency Management Act has provided grants for local <br /> <br />communities to help reimburse the cost of the emergency weather services provided by <br /> <br />government entities to their citizens; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Civil Town of Mooresville is desireth of applying for a grant through <br /> <br />the State Emergency Management Act for assistance in the cost of the snow emergency services <br /> <br />provided; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint an individual to act on the Town's behalf in <br /> <br />applying for the Grant Applications and in dealing with the State Authorities; <br /> <br />BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Town Council, the governing body of the Civil <br /> <br />Town of Mooresville, appoints Joseph Beikman as its representative to act pursuant to the State <br /> <br />Emergency Management Act to do all things necessary to pursue any State Assistance for <br /> <br />reimbursement of the cost provided by the Civil Town of Mooresville in dealing with the snow <br /> <br />emergency of January, 1999. <br /> <br />~ <br />
