· ~ {µ , ',- 9603286 BOOk/!Jt P~e ··252, ORDINANCE 2 ,1996 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON MEMORIAL DRIVE IN MOORESVILLE, INDIANA BE IT ORDAINED, by the Town Council of the Civil Town of Mooresville: By the powers vested in the Town Council pursuant to Indiana Code, it is the responsibility of the Town Council to provide for the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the Town of Mooresville: WHEREAS, a traffic study was conducted by the Mooresville Police Department concerning traffic on Memorial Drive which detected problems with the traffic flow during school hours on Memorial Drive adjoining the Newby School property; WHEREAS, it is necessary to control the flow of traffic in the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana, and that an Ordinance should be adopted to control the traffic on Memorial Drive during school hours to create a one-way flow of traffic in a westerly direction during school hours from Monroe Street on Memorial Drive to West Street during certain times of the day. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND ORDAINED that an Ordinance be adopted establishing one-way traffic on Memorial Drive, in Mooresville, Morgan County, Indiana from Monroe Street in a westerly direction to West Street on that portion of Memorial Drive between these two (2) intersections. That the Street Commissioner shall post this area as a one-way street directing the appropriate signage and hours that the one-way street traffic control will be in effect and further shall post the signage on the other end of the street at the intersection with West Street showing "one-way do not enter" during certain hours as more specifically set out herein.
