<br />I <br /> <br />requirements of the ordinance and the Indiana Fire Prevention <br /> <br />Code, <br /> <br />SECTION VI <br />(1) That the Fire Chief or his designated deputy shall <br />investigate the origin, cause, and circumstances of any fire of <br />unknown origin occurring within the Civil Town of Mooresville. So <br />far as is possible, the Fire Chief or his designated deputy shall <br />determine whether the fire is the result of carelessness, or is by <br />design. <br />(2) That the Fire Chief or his designated deputy shall <br /> <br />investigate, assist in the prosecution of, and support suppresslon <br /> <br />of, arson and other crimes associated with the destruction or <br /> <br />attempted destruction of property by fire in the civil Town of <br />Mooresville, shall take immediate charge of physical evidence, <br />notify any other authority designated by law to assist in the <br />investigation of such mattes, and cooperate with such other <br /> <br />authorities in the prosecution of the case. <br /> <br />SECTION VII <br />If any person, firm or corporation shall violate any of the <br />provisions of this ordinance, or shall do any act prohibited <br />herein, or shall fail to perform any duty lawfully enjoined, <br />within the time prescribed by the Fire Chief or designated deputy, <br />or shall fail, neglect or refuse to obey any lawful order given by <br />the Fire Chief or designated deputy in connection with the <br />provisions of this ordinance for each such violation, failure or <br /> <br />refusal, such person, firm or corporation shall be fined in any <br /> <br />sum not less than Ten Dollars ($lo.oof, nor more than Fifty <br />Dollars ($50.00). Each day of such unlawful activity as is <br />prohibited by the first sentence of this section shall constitute <br />a separate offense. <br /> <br />'-- <br /> <br />SECTION VIII <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith <br /> <br /> <br />are hereby repealed and Ordinance No.3, 1988 specifically is <br /> <br /> <br />hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br /> <br /> <br />after its passage and due publication. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
