<br />I <br /> <br />, <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION þ~ <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Civil Town of Mooresville, <br /> <br />Morgan County, Indiana, that it is deemed necessary to proceed with an appeal <br /> <br />from the actions from the Morgan County Tax Adjustment Board, in order to re- <br /> <br />establish rates at the amount submitted to the Morgan County Tax Adjustment <br /> <br />Board for relief from property tax levy limitations and request the setting of <br /> <br />a new maximum levy on the Town's new park district. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it is deemed necessary to proceed with an <br /> <br />appeal to the State Board of Tax Commissioners, for an excessive tax levy <br /> <br />the setting of a new maximum levy, due to a new park district being established <br /> <br />in the Town of Mooresville in May, 1986 by a referendum vote incorporating the <br /> <br />unincorporated area of Brown Township into the Town's Park and Recreation <br /> <br />Department and would request that a new maximum levy be set based upon the <br /> <br />new district and to appropriately change the tax rate as adopted by the <br /> <br />Board of Trustees of the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana and as advertised <br /> <br />and posted. The undersigned, being the duly elected and qualified Board of <br /> <br />Trustees of the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana, has authorized its legal <br /> <br />counsel and its ClerN Treasurer, to prepare such petition of appeal to the <br /> <br />Morgan County Tax Adjustment Board, and to the State Board of Tax Commissioners, <br /> <br />with the same to be executed by the highest executive officer of the Town, the <br /> <br />same being Patricia Overholser, President of the Board of Trustees. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it is deemed necessary to proceed with an <br /> <br />appeal to the State Board of Tax Commissioners, for an excessive tax levy, <br /> <br />by reason of the reduction which has been made in the tax rate as adopted by <br /> <br />the Board of Trustees of the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana and as advertised <br /> <br />and posted. <br /> <br />All this action was taken pursuant to the minutes of the meeting of the <br /> <br />Board of Trustees of the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana on the 16th day <br /> <br />of September, 1986. <br /> <br />Dated, this 16th day of September, 1986. <br /> <br /> <br />,,!/J¿ <br /> <br />,: ,,<.¿ /1' <br /> <br />Zt~~:;~ <br />
