, ORDINANCE NO. if , 1985 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A WEIGHT LIMIT ON MONROE STREET IN THE CIVIL TOWN OF MOORESVILLE, INDIANA BETWEEN HIGH STREET AND MAIN STREET. BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Trustees of the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana by the acts of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, it is hereby ORDERED AND ORDAINED that whereas it is necessary to control the flow of traffic in the Town of Mooresvil1e, Indiana, and to protect the Town streets and to act in the interest of the health and safety of the residents of the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana, it is hereby ORDERED AND ORDAINED that an ordinance be adopted prohibiting trucks in an excess of a gross weight of Five (5) tons to travel on that portion of Monroe Street between High Street and Main Street. SECTION I BE IT HEREBY ORDERED that no truck in excess of a gross weight of Five (5) ton be allowed to travel on any portion of Monroe Street between High Street and Main Street in the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana. SECTION II The Town Marshal, or any other person designated by the Board of Trustee of the Town of Mooresville, shall post or cause to be posted signs at the aforesaid street location designating such area "No Trucks In Excess of a Gross Weight of Five (5) Ton". SECTION III That violation of this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an infraction, punishable by fines of not less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), SECTION IV .fuereas, an emergency exists, this Ordinance is declared to be in full force and effect from and after its passage and all ordinances or parts of ordinance in conflict herewith, are hereby specifically repealed in whole or in part, and the Clerk-Treasurer is directed to publish said ordinance for two (2) consecutive weeks.
