ORDINANCE NO. /7 -1.9$9 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY TO THE TOWN OF MOORESVILLE WHEREAS, the territory hereinafter described is contiguous to the Town or Mooresvil1.e, but presently lies outside of said town in Brown Township, Morgan County, Indiana; and WHEREAS, tt is to the best interest of the Town and of the territory hereinarter described, that the same be annexed, that said area is urban in character and is an economic and social part of the Town of Mooresville, that the Town or Mooresville is financially able to provide municipal services to the annexed area within the reasonably near future, that the area herein" after described is needed ror the development of the Town of Mooresville in the reasonably near future, and that the terri- tory herelnafter described is contiguous to the Town of Moores- ville and the lines of annexation are so drawn as to form a compact area abutting said Town; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Trustees of the Town ot Mooresville, Morgan County, Indiana, that: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot Number 6 in Block NUmber 15 in Moore's Second Addition to Mooresville, and running South $47 feet to 'the south- east corner of Lot Number 6 in Block Number 17 in said Addition, and the North line ot ~~Street, Mooresville, thence East $$.44 feet, thence North $47 feet to the South line of Main Street, Moores- ville, thence West $$.44 feet to the place of beginning, containing .70 of an acre. is hereby annexed to, and made a part of, the Town of Mooresville, Morgan County, Indiana. Section 2. That the effective date of this ordinance shall be January 1, 1960. ._~
