ORDINANCE , 2014 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 7 , 2013 <br /> AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF <br /> ELECTED OFFICIALS, OFFICERS, BOARD AND COMMISSION <br /> MEMBERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE TOWN OF MOORESVILLE <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Council for the Town of Mooresville is <br /> responsible for setting the compensation for its elected <br /> officials, officers, Board and Commission members and employees <br /> for the year 2014; <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Council approved Ordinance 7, 2013 "An <br /> Ordinance Fixing the Compensation of Elected Officials, Officers, <br /> Hoard and Commission Members and Employees of the Town of <br /> Mooresville" on December 17 , 2013; <br /> WHEREAS, certain changes in this Ordinance are necessary to <br /> make it compliant with the original intention as set out in <br /> previous Salary Ordinances and percentages concerning the <br /> employee PERF contributions; <br /> NOW, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town <br /> of Mooresville that the following Amendments to Ordinance 7, 2013 <br /> ars approved amending only those specific amendments set out <br /> herein: <br /> SECTION I . MOORESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> The Part-Time Communications Officers shall be paid at the rate <br /> of $12 . 02 per hour . <br /> General Amendment pertaining to all employees which are not <br /> covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act including the Police <br /> Chief, Fire Chief, Stormwater Inspector/Bu.i.lding Inspector, <br /> Street Superintendent, Treatment Plant Superintendent, Park <br /> Superintendent . These positions which arc exempt by the Fair <br /> Labor. Standards Act shall receive in lieu of overtime pay time <br /> off at the rate of 1 to 1, for every hour in excess of 40 hours <br /> worked shall be entitled to receive 1 hour off for compensation. <br />
