MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2014 3:00 P. M. <br /> MOORESVILLE GOVERNMENT CENTER <br /> Members present: Harold Gutzwiller, Don Stultz, Tim Corman,George Watkins, and Bill Boyd. <br /> Mark Meadows, Non-voting School Board member,was absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was <br /> present. <br /> Awarding of bid for Phase 1 Gateway corridor project. Consultant from Rundell Ernstberger Associates, <br /> Carl Kincaid,was present to make a recommendation. <br /> Five bids were received and four of the five were below the estimate. The low bidder was Gibraltar <br /> Construction Corp at$1,304,000.00 <br /> It was verifies the landscape contractor is MG Landscape and Irrigation. <br /> The bid form currently reads the Town of Mooresville as the agency and needs to read Mooresville <br /> Redevelopment Commission and can be handwritten and initialed. The bid bond was worded correctly. <br /> The recommendation from the consultant was to go with Gibraltar as the contractor. <br /> Attorney Currens state that due diligence had been done and all the legal requirements had been met <br /> and they are low bid. <br /> Commissioner Corman asked if Rundell had used Gibraltar before. Rundell had not, but Gibraltar was <br /> just awarded one of IU's Gateway projects and they had not broken ground on it yet. They have done <br /> over ten projects for the City of Carmel and Lucas Oil. They are based out of Indianapolis. <br /> Commissioner Watkins asked if Rundell had worked with any of the subcontractors. Carl said they know <br /> Poynter,the metal fabricator, but had not worked with them. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Boyd with a second by Commissioner Watkins to approve <br /> Gibraltar as the contractor and to add Chairman Gutzwiller as the signatory. <br /> Commissioner Corman made a motion to adjourn.
