ii <br /> Minutes of the Metropolitan Police <br /> Commissioners Meeting <br /> June 27, 2007 <br /> The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Dr. Knierim <br /> welcomed everyone to the meeting. In attendance were Chief Timothy Viles, <br /> Town Attorney Tim Currrens and Police Commissioners Knierim, Kays and <br /> Berwick. <br /> Commissioner Berwick motioned to approve the minutes from April's <br /> meeting. Commissioner Kays seconded the motion. <br /> Old Business <br /> is <br /> The Commissioners reviewed SOP 1.03 (Promotions) and SOP 3.29 <br /> (Limited Duty). Commissioner Kays motioned to approve the SOP's andI <br /> Commissioner Berwick seconded. <br /> New Business <br /> Chief Viles read the statistics for the Month of May. <br /> Chief Viles advised the Commissioners that there was one officer that was in <br /> a process with another agency. Chief Viles advised them of the possibility <br /> that the officer will not be gone until December and the next academy class <br /> was in October. Chief Viles advised the Commissioners that he would keep <br /> them apprised of what was going on with this officer. <br /> The Commissioners gave Chief Viles the next name on the list and advised <br /> that he would be put on the list at ILEA for the October class. <br /> Chief Viles stated that the two new officers would begin on July 9th, working <br /> the Evening Shift (3pm-11pm). Chief Viles advised that they would be <br /> under the supervision of Lt. Snyder during their Field Training and <br /> Evaluation. <br />
