The Minutes of the Mooresville Metropolitan <br /> ( Police Department <br /> Police Commissioners Meeting <br /> April16, 2009 <br /> The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Berwick welcomed <br /> everyone to the meeting. Present were Chief Viles, Town Attorney Tim Currens and <br /> Commissioners Berwick, Kays and Bryant. <br /> Commissioner Kays motioned for the minutes from March's meeting to be approved and <br /> Commissioner Bryant seconded. <br /> Statistics <br /> 297 Incident Reports 160 Arrest Reports <br /> 90 Traffic Citations 207 Traffic Warnings <br /> 13 Property Damage Accidents 2 Personal Injury Accidents <br /> Old Business <br /> Chief Viles updated the commissioners on the status of the promotional process stating that one <br /> Sergeant has applied for the Lieutenant's position and that five officers have applied for the <br /> Sergeant's position. <br /> Commissioner Bryant motioned for Sgt. Harris to be promoted to Lieutenant as of May 6, 2009. <br /> Commissioner Kays seconded. <br /> Chief Viles presented the commissioners with new directives on the prisoner transport van and <br /> electronic technology. <br /> Chief Viles also updated the commissioners on the status of the Morgan County Reserve School. <br /> Chief Viles stated that several of the Mooresville Police Officers are participating in the training <br /> of the reserve officers. <br /> Chief Viles also updated the commissioners on the status of Probationary Officers Goodwin and <br /> Schultz. Chief Viles advised that Officer Goodwin has completed his first year as of April 5, <br /> 2009 and is no longer on probation. Chief Viles also stated that Officer Schultz will complete his <br /> first year as of April 19, 2009 and then he will no longer be on probation. I <br /> New Business <br /> r <br />
