The Minutes of the Mooresville Metropolitan <br /> Police Department <br /> Police Commissioners Meeting <br /> March 18, 2010 <br /> The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Berwick <br /> welcomed everyone to the meeting. Present were Commissioners Berwick, Bryant, Kays, <br /> Chief Timothy C. Viles, and Town Attorney Tim Currens. <br /> Commissioner Kays motioned for February's minutes to be accepted and Commissioner <br /> Bryant seconded. <br /> Statistics — February 2010 <br /> Incident Reports 194 <br /> Arrest Reports 149 <br /> Traffic Citations 50 <br /> Traffic Warnings 7o <br /> Accident Reports to (all property damage) <br /> Old Business <br /> Chief Viles advised the Police Commissioners that he had received a letter of resignation <br /> from Sgt. Tom Whitley that was effective March 12, 2010. <br /> New Business <br /> The Police Commissioners reviewed SOP to, which was presented to them by Chief <br /> Viles. Commissioner Kays motioned to accept and Commissioner Bryant seconded. <br /> Chief Viles discussed a new application from a wrecker service wanting to be put on the <br /> current rotation. Chief Viles stated that the application was not completed properly and <br /> until it is, he will not consider putting them on the rotation. All the Commissioners <br /> agreed. <br /> Chief Viles asked the Commissioners to approve the hiring of another officer to replace <br /> the vacancy created by the resignation of Sgt. Whitley. All of the Commissioners agreed <br /> to take the name of the next officer off of the current list of applicants completed from <br /> the last process. <br /> Commissioner Kays motioned for the applicant, Christopher White, to be offered <br /> employment with the Mooresville Police Department. Commissioner Bryant seconded. <br /> The Commissioners agreed to review the following SOP's : 10.1, 10.2, and 11.0. <br />
