The Minutes of the Mooresville Metropolitan <br /> ( Police Department Police Commission Meeting <br /> March 15, 2012 <br /> The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Bryant welcomed <br /> everyone to the meeting. Present were Commissioners Bryant, Kays, Fitzpatrick, Police <br /> Chief Timothy Viles and Town Attorney Tim Currens. <br /> Commissioner Kays motioned for January's minutes to be approved. Commissioner <br /> Fitzpatrick seconded. <br /> Statistics — February 2012 <br /> Incident Reports 187 <br /> Arrest Reports 127 <br /> Traffic Citations 82 <br /> Traffic Warnings 89 <br /> Accidents 26 (23 Property Damage, 3 Personal Injury) <br /> Old Business <br /> SOP 9.0o was brought up to date with current Indiana State Laws. Commissioner Kays <br /> made a motion to approve and was seconded by Commissioner Fitzpatrick. <br /> New Business <br /> Chief Viles advised that Sgt Eric Pugh, currently working the evening shift, has been <br /> activated with the Indiana National Guard and will be gone until approximately <br /> December, 2013. <br /> Commissioner Fitzpatrick would like for the Police Commission and the Police <br /> Department to start work on a SOP for the Use of Tasers. All parties agreed. <br /> Commissioner Fitzpatrick also brought up that he would like for the meetings to be <br /> moved to the Town Hall, located at 4 E Harrison St. He stated that our current location <br /> is not considered to be a public location;there is limited space for the public to come <br /> and attend the meetings. Commissioner Kays and Bryant both had questions and <br /> concerns with moving the meeting. All parties agreed to discuss this at the next meeting <br /> after doing some research as to if Town Hall would be available for our meeting. <br /> Commissioner Fitzpatrick would like for the Police Commission meeting minutes to be <br /> posted onto the Mooresville Police Department's website.
