Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners <br />Police Department Larry Bryant <br />Fred Settle <br />Brian Wiser <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on November 19, 2015 <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Richard Allen, Attorney Charles Braun, Amanda Carnell <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes of the October meeting. Larry Bryant seconded <br />No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen and the Police Commission discussed SOP 8.07. Fred Settle made a motion to make <br />the changes recommended by Chief Allen. Larry Bryant seconded. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen and the Police Commission discussed having several Town Ordinances updated to <br />include the words "Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department" instead of "Town Marshal". <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the transport van and Officer <br />Hayden's commission. <br />Chief Allen commended Officer Whitley, Sgt Julian and Lt Snyder for their actions assisting two <br />members of the public. <br />Chief Allen stated that the Halloween was a success. Chief Allen also updated that Police <br />Commission on getting new paint and carpet for the department. Chief Allen also updated that <br />Police Commission on the Christmas for Kids coming up in December. <br />Chief Allen also updated the Police Commission on the status of his "8" contacts per day per <br />officer. Chief Allen stated that October, November and December would be a trial period. Chief <br />Allen stated that it was a motivational tool, will be working on it further at the next supervisor's <br />meeting. <br />Chief Allen also updated that Police Commission on the hiring process with 3 subjects remaining <br />for the two positions that will be available in January. They are all ILEA certified. <br />
