Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners Police Department Larry Bryant Fred Settle Brian Wiser MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission held at the Mooresville Police Department on November 19, 2015 MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle ALSO PRESENT: Chief Richard Allen, Attorney Charles Braun, Amanda Carnell The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes of the October meeting. Larry Bryant seconded No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. Chief Allen and the Police Commission discussed SOP 8.07. Fred Settle made a motion to make the changes recommended by Chief Allen. Larry Bryant seconded. Motion passed unanimously. Chief Allen and the Police Commission discussed having several Town Ordinances updated to include the words "Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department" instead of "Town Marshal". Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the transport van and Officer Hayden's commission. Chief Allen commended Officer Whitley, Sgt Julian and Lt Snyder for their actions assisting two members of the public. Chief Allen stated that the Halloween was a success. Chief Allen also updated that Police Commission on getting new paint and carpet for the department. Chief Allen also updated that Police Commission on the Christmas for Kids coming up in December. Chief Allen also updated the Police Commission on the status of his "8" contacts per day per officer. Chief Allen stated that October, November and December would be a trial period. Chief Allen stated that it was a motivational tool, will be working on it further at the next supervisor's meeting. Chief Allen also updated that Police Commission on the hiring process with 3 subjects remaining for the two positions that will be available in January. They are all ILEA certified.
