Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners <br /> Police Department Larry Bryant <br /> Sue Kays <br /> Fred Settle <br /> MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br /> held at the Mooresville Police Department on February 19, 2015. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Sue Kays, Larry Bryant <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Chief Richard Allen, Amanda Carnell, Captain Ronald Cooper, <br /> Attorney Charles Braun, <br /> The meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> Sue Kays made a motion to accept the minutes of the January meeting. Larry Bryant seconded. <br /> No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the 21st and 22nd officer positions. <br /> Chief Allen stated that we currently have 45 applicants, 40 without the academy and 5 with. <br /> Chief Allen advised that the physical agility and written testing will be completed on February <br /> 28tH Chief Allen stated that once the testing was complete the next phase will be the background <br /> and in-house interviews. <br /> Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the upcoming traffic study being done on Samuel <br /> Moore Parkway to see if the speed limit needs to increase from 30 mph to 45 mph. <br /> Chief Allen also updated the Police Commission on the Mooresville Police dispatchers taking an <br /> EMD class in May. Chief Allen stated that all full-time and part-time dispatchers will be <br /> certified. <br /> Attorney Braun commended the department on choosing to use the ILEA exit standards for the <br /> physical agility. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 PM. <br /> The next meeting will be held on April 16,2015 at 6:00 PM at the Mooresville Police <br /> Department. <br />
