Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners <br />Police Department Larry Bryant <br />Sue Kays <br />Fred Settle <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on May 21, 2015. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle, <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Allen, <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:01 PM. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes of the March meeting. Larry Bryant seconded. <br />No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the 21St and 22nd officer positions. <br />Chief Allen stated that for the record that on October 7, 2014 he went to the Mooresville Town <br />Board requesting to hire a replacement for the position vacated by Tim Viles. Chief Allen stated <br />that Councilman Watkins made a motion and it was seconded by Councilwoman Perry to hire a <br />replacement. The motion passed 5-0. <br />Chief Allen stated that for the record that on December 16, 2014 he went to the Mooresville <br />Town Board requesting to hire a replacement for the position vacated by Eric Pugh. Chief Allen <br />stated that Councilman Watkins made a motion and it was seconded by Councilman Langley to <br />hire a replacement. The motion passed 5-0. <br />Chief Allen presented the two applicants chosen by the MPD interview board, Lindsay Hayden <br />and Joel Parks. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to hire Lindsay Hayden as the 21" officer of the Mooresville Police <br />Department. Larry Bryant seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to hire Joel Parks as the 22nd officer of the Mooresville Police <br />Department. Larry Bryant seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />
