MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, APRIL 16, 2012, 6:30 P. M. <br /> The Mooresville Redevelopment Commission met on Monday, April 16, 2012, at the <br /> Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Commission members present were: Chairman Harold Gutzwiller, George Watkins,Tim <br /> Corman, and Don Stultz. Town attorney Tim Currens was also present. <br /> A motion was made by Commission Watkins with a second by Commissioner Corman to f <br /> accept the minutes of January 18, 2012. Motion carried 4-0. r, <br /> A motion was made to accept the Executive Session minutes of January 18, 2012 by <br /> Commissioner Watkins with a second by Commissioner Stultz. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by Commissioner Corman <br /> to approve the financial report as submitted. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Mike Shave, Wabash Scientific presented a draft of the 2012 amendment to <br /> Mooresville's Economic and Redevelopment Plans. The Commission has completed all <br /> the projects they had planned from 1992 to 1012. There has been 2.988 million dollars in <br /> savings on the wastewater rates for the residents of Mooresville. <br /> Included in the draft is a proposed addition of properties: Village Shopping Center, <br /> Adams/Haught property, and State Road 67 right of ways. Other projects from the retreat <br /> were also included. The Venture Capital project would be more difficult to do because of <br /> fitting into statutory findings. Partnership with Mooresville High School concerning the <br /> infrastructure for fiber optics system is included in the draft. <br /> The commission agreed to take out the revolving loan and venture capital sections of the <br /> plan draft. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Corman with a second by Councilman Stultz to <br /> approve payment of a claim to the Morgan County EDC for$4,500 for research <br /> requested on a project. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Attorney Currens spoke about property acquisitions and how the commission needs to <br /> establish a list of properties and appoint a point person. <br /> Commissioner Gutzwiller put three properties on the list: 3301 Hancel Circle,2300 <br /> Hanel Parkway, and Southbridge Shopping Center. <br />
