MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> FRIDAY,NOVEMBER 12, 2010, 7:30 A. M. <br /> The Mooresville Redevelopment Commission met on Friday, December 12,2010,at <br /> 7:30. A. M. <br /> Commissioners present were: Harold Gutzwiller, George Watkins, and Tim Corman. <br /> Commission members Brian Nelson and Mike Haskins were absent. Town attorney Tim <br /> Currens was present as was Morgan County Economic Director Joy Sessing. Clerk- <br /> Treasurer Sandra Perry took the minutes. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by Commissioner Corman <br /> to approve the minutes of August 5, 2010. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Morgan County Economic Director, Joy Sessing, presented an SBI from Overton <br /> Manufacturing for a tax abatement on equipment. The price of the equipment is <br /> $200,900.00 and scored 14 points on the matrix that would be a three year tax abatement. <br /> This addition of equipment will add three new jobs. The equipment cuts fiberglass. <br /> They have ordered the equipment but have not installed or paid for it. Commissioner <br /> Watkins motioned to approve a resolution state this abatement would have no adverse <br /> affect on the TIF district. Commissioner Corman gave the second. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Town attorney Tim Currens reported to the commission that in February 2008 the <br /> commission committed to pay $100,000 toward the road by Indy Tractor for a road to go <br /> thru the Indy Tractor property to the Adams Industrial Park as shown in the Plat <br /> submitted and approved by the Mooresville Plan Commission. The commission still <br /> needs to get a purchase agreement subject to them executing the document. Prior <br /> commitment was made before'rim Corman, George Watkins and Harold Gutzwiller <br /> became a part of the commission. A motion was made by Commissioner Corman, with a <br /> second by Commissioner Watkins to approve and signatures will be done at the next <br /> meeting. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Chairman Gutzwiller reported on the landscaping and signage for the entrance to TOA <br /> Industrial Park. There seems to he an issue from utilities that roots from trees would be a <br /> problem. There is a possibility of adding a five foot easement in the process of <br /> transferring land over to Indy Tractor. This would take care of the south side of Pleadies <br /> Drive. The commission would not be purchasing five feet but this would be in the land <br /> transfer document. They need to put in the document for signage also that it can be seen <br /> on both sides, north and south. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Redevelopment Commission at this <br /> time a motion was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by Commissioner <br /> Corman to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 3-0. <br />
