MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met in a specially
called session on Wednesday the 26th day of August, 1981 at 7:00
o'clock P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall in the office of Warren
Franklin. The following Board Members were present: Chairman Paul
Walters, Warren Franklin, Wendell Thaler, Ray House, and Nan Kollmeyer.
The Board's attorney, Timothy Currens, was also present.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Paul Walters and
minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The Board
proceeded to the first order of business, a petition for a variance
filed by Thomas J. Kough and Deanna Jo Kough who reside at 840 North
Indiana Street in Mooresville, Indiana. The attorney advised that
all due notices were properly sent and return receipts were varified
from the petition. Notice from the newspaper was also presented in
affidavit form along with Mr. Kough advising the Board that he had
notified the necessary property owners as required by ordinance.

Mr. Kough proceeded with an explanation of his request, which
was that the Board grant him a variance so he could put an addition
on his home which would be used for a law office primarily for
consultation. Mr. Kough advised the Board that he currently worked
for the State Police and worked part time by leasing office space
from Ralph Lett. He advised the Board that it would be more beneficial
to expand his home and not pay office space rent than to continue the
way he currently conducts his law business. Ruth Moon, who resides
at 1 Raesta Drive, Mooresville, Indiana was the only neighbor present.
Ruth and her husband Bill own the property directly behind the Koughs
and gave the Board her approval of the variance so long as the variance
