` and has concerns that as the light is short individuals will begin driving through
the neighborhood looking for additional exits.
Zac Bell spoke on behalf of his grandmother of N. Rooker Rd. His family built
47 years ago, they came for the peace and quiet they'd like it to remain that
way. Facts have changed since the original filling available to the public so not
all issues can be addressed. While Mr. Bell is all in favor of self -owned and
operated businesses he believes this is a lot to ask of the neighbors, while there
may only be 12 -15 events a year they will most likely be in the nicer weather
months so more "strung together" and could be a chain of events week after
week. As his grandmother lives directly across from the gravel road she is
concerned there would be 100 or more car lights shining in her windows every
event night. As a realtor he discusses the possibility of reduced property values.
Zac addresses the fact that the barn at Milkhouse Lane, as advertised, is actually
on Rooker Rd because Milkhouse Lane is marked a private drive, is this
because the family themselves do not want the additional traffic near their
homes?
An additional neighbor from E. Daniel St spoke briefly that at prior events there
had been parking all the way to Rooker Rd.
Ross Hollway restated some of the expressed concerns, he then requested a
continuance so that they may have time to review and address the concerns.
Denise of N. Rooker Rd. stated that the application for special exception was
filed some time ago, opposition should have been anticipated, they've had
months to prepare the neighbors in attendance have had days, she believes a
continuance is unacceptable.
Ross Holloway again asked for the continuance, Mike Young stated that he
would like time to review the documents presented by Denise and to review the
other concerns as well.
Audience member asked would the Perry's be aloud to hold events in the
meantime, yes if no money exchanges hands.
Neal Allman called for a motion Mike Young made the motion to continue, it
was seconded and passed unanimously.
No new business was presented.
