width of the road and the parking plans will not impede emergency equipment,
Mr. Holloway calls attention to the letters from Chief Brian Stanley of the
Brown Township Fire Department, that the gravel road is adequate for
emergency equipment and an additional letter that states maximum capacity
shall not exceed 450 individuals. It is explained that 450 is from the fire chief
not the family, they do not plan to have weddings that large a typical wedding
will be about 200 and the contract, according to Hali Mynatt, is a 350 person
maximum. Ross says all noise / music will be stopped at 10:30pm. Portable
restrooms will be brought in during the weddings. Ross Holloway reiterates that
again the special exception is being asked because of the 29 plus acres less than
1 will be utilized for the wedding events, the remaining acres will continue to
be farmed and remain agricultural.
BZA member Alan Kramer expressed concerns of a 450 maximum capacity vs
140 — 145 parking spots, he believes there should be additional parking
available in the field. Mr. Kramer says he has heard during previous events that
attendees were parking in the streets and in the nearby neighborhood. Mrs.
Mynatt explains that the 2 day concert that was held was hosted by a neighbor,
maybe he allowed people to park at his home and walk over.
BZA member Perry King asked about the gravel road, it is flinches of crushed
concrete and 4 inches of gravel, Mr. King discussed concerns of foul weather,
equipment will sink or press the gravel into the ground. Ross Holloway says
that that while nothing is 100% certain the letter from the fire chief shows that
the existing road is adequate.
Mike Young asked that Ross Holloway address the fire safety, The Perry and
Mynatt families will seek the necessary safety measures once the board votes to
allow the special exception, there is no need to endure the expense of sprinklers,
emergency signage, doors etc until an allowance is given. The petitioners will
go through the proper state and homeland security channels to ensure all proper
safety measures are taken and installed.
Neal Allman called for questions from the audience, he assured that all that
wished to speak would be heard, he asked audience members to keep their
remarks brief and to try not to duplicate another's concern or comments in
regards to time constraints and large audience in attendance. Mr. Allman
requested that all supporters speak first and then concerned individuals follow.
