A new timeline was also presented which would move the bidding process to March of 2017. <br />Commissioner Corman made the motion to accept the changes as outlined by the Steering Committee <br />and to move forward with a rebid. Commissioner Boyd seconded the motion, which passed 5-0. For the <br />work to be completed, REA presented contract amendment 4A for $9,000. Commissioner Corman made <br />the motion to approve the contract as presented. Commissioner Boyd seconded the motion which <br />passed 4-1 (Beikman). <br />Indiana Street: Manns reported that the subcontractors have been out working in the trenches during <br />the winter. Most of the work by Schutt-Looka bill had been at a standstill with the weather. <br />Old Business: Manns reported that she has worked with Diane Huerkamp on the OCRA matching grant <br />and signage. Commissioner Gutzwiller had questioned whether a third sign may be feasible. Manns <br />said she would get with Huerkamp and look into the matter. <br />New Business: No new business. <br />Legal Update: Attorney Currens presented the RDC with the Cherry Blossom Way Deed of Dedication. <br />Commissioner Beikman questioned the type of warranty the RDC has on the road. Manns is to <br />investigate the matter. Commissioner Beikman made the motion to approve the Deed of Dedication for <br />Cherry Blossom Way. Commissioner Stultz seconded the motion, which passed 5-0. <br />Economic Development/Projects Update: Manns updated the RDC that she and the Superintendent of <br />Public Works Moore met onsite earlier this week with SCI REMC to discuss the positioning of the lighting <br />4 <br />along Cherry Blossom Way. Four lights will be installed at a cost of $2,305.42. The ongoing monthly <br />cost to the Town for the lighting would be approximately $73.08. Commissioner Stultz made the motion <br />to approve the lighting proposal with SCI REMC for Cherry Blossom Way as presented. Commissioner <br />Beikman seconded the motion, which passed 509. Commissioner Gutzwiller asked about the status of <br />the Industrial Development Grant Fund (IDGF) reimbursement from the Indiana Economic Development <br />Corporation. Manns reported that she has requested an update but has yet to hear anything. More of <br />an update will be provided at next month's meeting. <br />Manns also provided an update of the 2017 legislative agenda as it pertains to the RDC. <br />Review of Claims: A motion was made to approve the docket in the amount of $276,949.47 by <br />Commissioner Corman and seconded by Commissioner Stultz.
