Minor Plat would not be filed until closing had occurred. During open
questions multiple audience members expressed concern for the large
piece of property, lot 3 and the potential for a subdivision or multiple
homes. Mr. Soots again stressed that his intent was for one home for
himself and that was not immediate, he himself simply wanted to
prevent the property from being sold and used differently. After no
further questions were asked Jeff Dieterlen called for a motion,
Dennis Chambers confirmed that there were no unaddressed issues
during Technical Review and made the motion to accept the minor
plat waving the length to depth ratio, David Moore seconded the
motion and the motion passed unanimously.
The next item on the agenda is a Minor Plat presented by John
Larrison of Holloway Engineering for Earl and Kathryn Lundy at
5299 E. Orchard Rd. The Lundy's are asking to divide their 4.859
acre lot into two; lot 1 at 2.859 with the existing home, barn and
garage, then creating lot 2 at 2.0 acres for the purpose of their son to
build a home on. Mr. Larrison discussed the long drive and the
building line at 234 feet. During open questions Jeff Dieterlen
confirmed that all utilities were available. When no other questions or
concerns were addressed David Moore made a motion to accept the
minor plat with the building line consideration and waving length to
depth, Joe Beikman seconded the motion and the motion passed
unanimously.
Tim Currens addressed the Billbord Ordinance presented by the
Morgan County office of Brenda Brittain, Jeff Dieterlen stated that
any discussion on this matter should take place at the next meeting to
allow time for members time to research.
Debbie Luzier introduced herself to the Plan Commission and
presented a short overview of the process of rewriting the ordinance
book, including a time line, open meetings and such.
