Plan Commission Minutes <br />Thursday March 22"d 2018 <br />Members present: Tammy VanHook, Dave Moore, Jeff Dieterlen, Joe <br />Beikman, Mike Young, Perry King, Dennis Chambers, town attorney <br />Mel Daniel. Robert Alumbaugh was absent. <br />Mike Young called the meeting to order, welcomed the new town <br />attorney Mel Daniel then called for a motion on the previous minutes. <br />Perry King made a motion to approve the minutes as presented, Joe <br />Beikman seconded the motion and the minutes were accepted <br />unanimously. <br />The first item on the agenda is a rezone request at Western and <br />Landersdale roads presented by Mark Peden on behalf of the <br />Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation. The request is to <br />rezone from AG to B2 and the application packet includes consent to <br />seek rezoning from the current property owners. Marls Peden states <br />that the Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation is preparing to <br />purchase the 54.634 acres. The School Corporation is seeking to <br />rezone as the current AG zoning would not allow for any of the <br />considered uses by the school Corporation. It is stated that the <br />Mooresville School Corporation is considering several uses for the <br />lot; a transportation garage, an administration facility; a designated <br />use has yet to be determined. Attorney Steve Harris, representing the <br />School Board explains that purchasing a piece of property such as this <br />is a necessity, while it is for sale, however the need to know that it <br />can be rezoned from AG is also a necessity. Mike Young questioned <br />the possibility of a PUD, as discussed at the Technical Review, this <br />would allow for the Plan Commission to oversee multiple aspects of <br />the ongoing process. Joe Beikman questioned B2 stating that a <br />transportation garage is not an allowable use under B2. Mark Peden <br />reviewed the differences between PUD C and PUD E.
