Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners Police Department Larry Bryant { Brian Wiser I Fred Settle MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission held at the Mooresville Police Department on MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle, ALSO PRESENT: Chief Allen, Amanda Carrell, Charles Braun, Jeff Cook, Virginia Perry and Jack Perry The meeting was called to order at 6:07 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes of the May meeting. Larry Bryant seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. Chief Allen presented the Police Commission with the stats from May 2016. Chief Allen spoke briefly about taking the Police Commission from a 3 member board to a 5 member board. The Police Commission would like to have something in writing from the Police Commission Attorney and then present it to the Town Board. PC Attorney Charles Braun stated that he would draft a letter regarding the request. Chief Allen advised the Police Commission that Probationary Officers Parks and Hayden completed their first year on June 13`h and are now full time officers with the department. Town Board Member Virginia Perry asked the Police Commission about the status of SOP 19.00. She advised that the Town Board was waiting on the approval of this SOP before they update the Town of Mooresville Personnel Policy. Chief Allen advised that the SOP had not been approved by the Police Commission. There was a lengthy discussion between the Police Commission, Police Chief and PC Attorney. The next meeting will be held on July 21, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the Mooresville Police Department.
