Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners <br />Police Department Larry Bryant <br />{ Brian Wiser <br />I Fred Settle <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle, <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Allen, Amanda Carrell, Charles Braun, Jeff Cook, Virginia <br />Perry and Jack Perry <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:07 PM. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes of the May meeting. Larry Bryant seconded. No <br />discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen presented the Police Commission with the stats from May 2016. <br />Chief Allen spoke briefly about taking the Police Commission from a 3 member board to a 5 <br />member board. The Police Commission would like to have something in writing from the Police <br />Commission Attorney and then present it to the Town Board. PC Attorney Charles Braun stated <br />that he would draft a letter regarding the request. <br />Chief Allen advised the Police Commission that Probationary Officers Parks and Hayden <br />completed their first year on June 13`h and are now full time officers with the department. <br />Town Board Member Virginia Perry asked the Police Commission about the status of SOP <br />19.00. She advised that the Town Board was waiting on the approval of this SOP before they <br />update the Town of Mooresville Personnel Policy. Chief Allen advised that the SOP had not <br />been approved by the Police Commission. There was a lengthy discussion between the Police <br />Commission, Police Chief and PC Attorney. <br />The next meeting will be held on July 21, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the Mooresville Police <br />Department. <br />
