Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners <br />Police Department Larry Bryant <br />Sue Kays <br />Fred Settle <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle, Brian Wiser <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Allen, Lieutenant Rogers, Officer Hester, Sergeant <br />McGauhey, Officer Whitley, Officer Cook, PC Attorney Charles <br />Braun, Amanda Carvell <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes of the January meeting. Brian Wiser seconded. <br />No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen wanted to thank Lieutenant Rogers for all of his hard work in getting the new police <br />vehicles set-up. Chief Allen stated that Lt. Rogers did an excellent job in getting the new <br />vehicles ready as soon as possible. Chief Allen advised the Police Commission on the status of <br />the payments on the 2015 and 2016 vehicles. <br />Chief Allen also advised that Police Commission on the hiring process of the two new officers, <br />with a target date of April 1't. The two new officers will be replacing Captain Cooper and <br />Lieutenant Snyder who both retired in January. Chief Allen advised that one of the applicants has <br />already been interviewed and the other will be interviewed next week. Larry Bryant suggested <br />that both applicants get their appointments made with PSM should the 2"d applicant pass the <br />interview. Brian Wiser and Fred Settle agreed. <br />Chief Allen updated that Police Commission on the Sergeant's promotion process. Chief Allen <br />advised that five (5) applicants were interviewed by the three Lieutenants, Captain and himself. <br />Chief Allen then recommended that Officers Jeff Cook and Dan Whitley be promoted to <br />Sergeant. Fred Settle made a motion to accept the nominations and Brian Wiser seconded. <br />Chief Allen advised the Police Commission that he would like to start reviewing the SOP's again <br />and all three commissioners agreed. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to adjourn and Brian Wiser seconded. <br />6 <br />
