Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners Police Department Larry Bryant Brian Wiser l Fred Settle MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission held at the Mooresville Police Department on MEMBERS PRESENT:. Larry Bryant, Fred Settle, Brian Wiser ALSO PRESENT: Chief Allen, Amanda Carnell, Jeff Cook, Charles Braun The meeting was called to order at 6:06 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Brian Wiser made a motion to accept the minutes of the April meeting. Fred Settle seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. Fred Settle made a motion to leave SOP 19.00 as it is written, with no changes made to the Body Armor Vest section. No seconded. Motion died. Chief Allen, all three commissioners and Charles Braun discussed Fred's objection to the changes currently proposed in SOP 19.00. Changes were suggested and the SOP 19.00 will be presented for approval at the June meeting. Chief Allen updated the Commissioners on the status of the 3rd K-9 officer. Attorney Charles Braun updated the Commissioners on the grievance policy and the questions that have arose from it. Chief Allen brought up the possibility of having a 5 person Police Commission and all three commissioners agreed that they support the idea. All three commissioners requested that Chief Allen look into it. The next meeting will be held on June 16, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the Mooresville Police Department.
