Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners <br />Police Department Larry Bryant <br />Brian Wiser <br />Fred Settle <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on February 16, 2017. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle and Brian Wiser <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Richard Allen, Attorney Charles Braun, Town Board <br />Member Jack Perry and Amanda Carnell <br />Call to order at 6:05 PM. <br />Brian Wiser made a motion to accept the meeting minutes from January 19'2017. Fred Settle <br />seconded the motion. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the hiring process. Chief Allen <br />introduced the Police Commission to the two applicants remaining in the process. Chief Allen <br />advised the Police Commission that he was waiting on the 1977 Police & Fire Pension to <br />approve the applicants before they can be hired. <br />Town Board Member Jack Perry advised the Police Commission that at the last town board <br />meeting that all department heads would give a monthly report at one of the meetings. Jack <br />wanted to get the Police Commission's approval as well. All three commissioners agreed that it <br />was a great idea and gave their blessing. Attorney Braun stated that Chief Allen does a very good <br />job of keeping the Police Commission informed on the events happening in the Mooresville <br />Police Department. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the stats from January of 2017. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the new vehicles. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the new building. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the yearly training that is happening in February <br />and March. Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the new IT Company, the Morgan <br />County Prosecutor's Office wanting to go paperless, radar certifications, and the grant for the <br />bullet-proof vests. <br />
