Mooresville Metropolitan <br />Police Department <br />Board of Police Commissioners <br />Larry Bryant <br />Brian Wiser <br />Fred Settle <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on March 26, 2017. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Call to order at 6:00 PM. <br />Larry Bryant, Fred Settle <br />Chief Richard Allen, Attorney Charles Braun <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the meeting minutes from February 16,' 2017. Larry Bryant <br />seconded the motion. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen presented the Police Commission with the statistics from the Month of February. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the new building. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the two remaining applicants, stating <br />that they had passed everything and all that was needed was to make the final offer of <br />employment. Chief Allen presented Zachary Norgan as the 21" officer and Joshua Pope as the <br />22nd officer. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to approve the hiring of Zachary Norgan as the 21't officer of the <br />Mooresville Police Department. Larry Bryant seconded the motion. No discussion. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to approve the hiring of Joshua Pope as the 22nd officer of the <br />Mooresville Police Department. Larry Bryant seconded the motion. No discussion. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen advised that Norgan and Pope would be sworn in on March 31 ", be on the payroll as <br />of April I" and report to the police department on Monday, April 3`d at 7:00 AM. <br />Chief Allen advised the Police Commission that Officer Schultz's patrol vehicle was involved in <br />an accident and had been damaged on March 13'x' while he was working an accident on State <br />Road 67 and Twin Bridges. Chief Allen advised that he was waiting to hear back from the other <br />party's insurance company. <br />
