Mooresville Metropolitan <br />Police Department <br />Board of Police Commissioners <br />Larry Bryant <br />Brian Wiser <br />Fred Settle <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on April 20, 2017. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle, Brian Wiser <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Richard Allen, Attorney Charles Braun, Amanda Carrell <br />Call to order at 6:03 PM. <br />Fred Settle made a motion to accept the meeting minutes from March 26, 2017. Brian Wiser <br />seconded the motion. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Chief Allen presented the Police Commission with the statistics from the month of March. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the status of the new building. <br />Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the completion of the annual 24 hours of <br />mandatory training that each officer must complete. <br />Chief Allen advised the Police Commission that on April 2, 2017, Officers Chipman and Mitsch <br />completed their probationary year. Chief Allen advised that Officer Mitsch had turned in his <br />resignation. <br />Chief Allen advised that Officers Horgan and Pope would begin their FTO in uniform on <br />Monday, May 1st <br />Chief Allen advised that the Morgan County Sheriff's Department and the Mooresville Police <br />Department are putting together an interdiction team with a grant that is being funded by the <br />Morgan County Substance Abuse Council. <br />Chief Allen advised that the vests have been ordered and that the department will be required to <br />pay half the costs. <br />Chief Allen presented Mooresville Communications SOP PER -08 to the commission for <br />revision. Chief Allen stated that he would like to add his designee to the procedure section. Brian <br />Wiser made a motion to accept the changes. Fred Settle seconded the changes. No discussion. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />
