Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals Minutes <br />Thursday June 14th, 2018 <br />Members present: Neal Allman, Mike Young, Perry King, <br />Charles McGuire and town attorney Mel Daniel. <br />Neal Allman called the meeting to order and then called for a <br />motion on the previous minutes; Perry King made the motion <br />to accept the minutes as presented, the motion was seconded <br />and passed 4-0. <br />On the agenda for this meeting is a variance request by Robert <br />Sisk of 50 Terrace Trail to allow an antique gun restoration <br />business out of his home. Mr. Sisk indicated that he is has <br />many years' experience in the restoration of antique firearms <br />and is looking to turn this into a full time business, he has <br />filed his variance request to meet ATF requirements so that he <br />may obtain his FFL license. During open comments and <br />questions Tim Bennett asked for confirmation if the business <br />would include sales; Mr. Sisk indicated it would but not open <br />to the public retail, but rather dealer to another licensed <br />dealer. Perry King questioned the notification process and <br />after discussion it was concluded that notifications sent did <br />not meet the requirements, Mike Young indicated that a <br />continuance might be necessary. Mr. Sisk did ask for that <br />continuance, the motion was made seconded and carried. <br />During new business Tim Bennett, the town building <br />inspector, notified the board that he had allowed John Paul of <br />12225 N Marland Dr to occupy a trailer while the rebuild of <br />
