36 <br />addition of Plan Commission approval to vacate the plat. The sisters asked for a little time to read over <br />the agreement. Mr. Daniel also told the sisters that Joe Beikman did not have a conflict of interest with <br />the matter and Sandra Perry, Clerk -Treasurer had handled the money as she was supposed to do <br />according to statute. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Rogers to approve the <br />agreement settlement (attached to minutes) with the sisters. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Other business: The Town Council members received a packet of proposed budgets to read and make <br />comments. <br />Department Head reports: <br />MVH- Dave Moore reported they were working their way upstream digging and cleaning ditches. They <br />were cleaning Cemetery stones and working with Banning Engineering on the paving. Council President <br />Warthen commented the ditch lines looked nice. <br />Park- Brent Callahan reported there was water in the pool and they were busy mowing grass. <br />At this point, the sisters had read thru the agreement and wanted to speak again. They wanted to go <br />thru the handouts with the council. Councilman Rogers told then first of all the handouts were titled for <br />County Government not Town Government. Councilman Mathis said he did not need educated on <br />county government. The sisters left the meeting without indicating further action on the agreement. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Beikman to approve payment <br />of the claims in the amount of $1,219,440.54. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was made by <br />Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />The next regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council is on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 6:30 P.
