August P -Saturday --- Decorate downtown <br />August 4th -Sunday ---Old Settlers Parade <br />August 4-91h ---Participating in donation <br />August 10th ---Check presentation <br />September 10th ---Discussion of suicide and mental health <br />By Mr. Treg Hopkins <br />They would like to decorate with 8 -inch waterproof yellow bows, wrap all trash cans white and put signs <br />in each planter. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve with the <br />stipulation they contact the businesses about decorating on Indiana and Main Streets, decorating the <br />planters, doing as much as they can and talk to Brent about the Bicentennial Park. Motion carried 3-0. <br />This group will be on the agenda June 18th for a street closing permit. <br />David Moore, Street Commissioner, presented three quotes to the Town Council for concrete and curbs <br />at the parking lot at the new Police station on Indiana Street. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve and not to <br />exceed $22,482.68 for concrete. Motion carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve and not <br />exceed $36,297.85 for paving and striping. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve and not to <br />exceed $27,620.69 for demolition and prep (some of this will be done in-house). Motion carried 3-0. <br />This money will be paid from the RDC Contribution Fund. <br />Update on Baby Box—Councilman Stanley reported he has met with two companies. One company is <br />interested and has asked for a second interview. <br />Danny Allen, Police Chief, gave a report: 230 incidents, 79 accidents, 230 warnings, and 258 911 calls. <br />He thanked the council forthe concrete, curbs, and paved parking lot at the new Police Department and <br />commented new furniture was moved in today. <br />David Moore, Street Department, commented they were repairing sink holes and standing water issues. <br />Steve Carter in U. S. Senator Mike Braun's office commented he was on local School Board for 10 years <br />and he wants his staff to have communication with his constituents. He appreciates the Town working <br />with the suicide project. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve payment of <br />claims in the amount of $491,031.30. Motion carried 3-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was made by <br />Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilman Rogers to adjourn the meeting.
