ME <br />AUGUST 6, 2019 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 6:30 P. M. at the <br />Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were: Tom Warthen, Jessica Hester, and Dustin Stanley. David Rogers and <br />Mark Mathis were absent. Town attorney Mel Daniel was present. - <br />Tom Warthen gave the prayer. <br />New Business: Waiver of non-compliance for Last Move LLC <br />-- Resolution #9 refers to Resolution #8. A motion was made by Councilman Stanley with a second by <br />Councilwoman Hesterto close the Public Hearing. Motion carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilwoman Hester to approve <br />Resolution #9, Waiver of non -compliance for Last Move LLC. Motion carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Hester with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve Pay <br />Request # 1 from Theinemen Co. for the wastewater clarifier in the amount of $51.558.00. Motion <br />carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilwoman Hesterto go ahead with the <br />contract for animal control with the Humane Society. Motion carried 3-0. The nuisance wildlife picked <br />up at owner's cost. <br />HR Contract: <br />Councilman Stanley made a motion to go ahead with the HR contract with him as a point of contact <br />Debbie Monts as a point of contact at a cost of $12,890 to $14,600 paid from CCD. Councilwoman <br />Hester made a second to the motion. Motion carried 3-0. <br />VFW -Vacate Alley: Attorney Pam Siddons was present at the meeting. After much discussion it was <br />decided to publish a public hearing for two of the three alleys. Councilman Stanley made a motion to do <br />Legal Separation of Ordinances the first meeting in September. Councilwoman Hester made a second to <br />--- the motion and motion carried 3-0. <br />Legal: <br />Attorney Daniel told the council he had drafted a Development agreement with Indiana American Water <br />with the average of two appraisals for the property the Town owns next to Indiana American Water. <br />For the Old Police Station Mr. Daniel had prepared a Notice Of Bid with average of two appraisals to be <br />published in two papers two weeks apart and the last published one week before September 3, 2019. <br />The revenue from property sales has to go back into the fund that the money to buy was spent from. <br />The property next to Indiana American Water was bought in 1800's so we will put the revenue in to <br />General Miscellaneous and build a street building. <br />The old Police Station was bought with money from CCD fund so that revenue will go back into CCD. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Hester with a second by Councilman Stanley to move forward <br />with development agreement with Indiana American Water. Motion carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilwoman Hester to approve Council <br />President Warthen as contact forthe agreement. Motion carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilwoman Hester to move forward <br />with publishing the Notice of Sale of old Police Station and open bids on September 3, 2019. <br />David Moore, Street Superintendent, reported the ditch project was still on going. His department is <br />replacing 1000 of feet of sidewalks and driveway aprons on Sweetwood Drive. Still cleaning cemeteries <br />vegetation and stones and waiting on striping of the newly paved streets. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilwoman Hester to approve payment <br />of the claims in the amount of$ 704,879.10. Motion carried 3-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was made by <br />Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilwoman Hesterto adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 3-0. <br />
