Mooresville Metropolitan <br />Police Department <br />Board of Police Commissioners <br />Fred Settle <br />Danny Lundy <br />Ernie Wilson <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on September 19, 2019. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Danny Lundy, Ernie Wilson <br />ALSO PRESENT: Kevin Julian, Rose Julian, Brian Anderson, Heather Anderson, <br />Randy Rogers, Kyle Vaughn, Amanda Carvell <br />Call to order at 6:00 PM. <br />Commissioner Danny Lundy introduced the new police commissioner, Ernie Wilson. <br />Commissioner Danny Lundy updated the Police Commission on the status of the hiring process <br />for the Chief of Police. <br />Lt. Julian presented the Police Commission with the stats from July and August of 2019. <br />Lt. Julian introduced the Police Commission to our newly hired officer, Kyle Vaughn. <br />Lt. Julian and Amanda Carnell spoke briefly about the hiring process for the vacant officer <br />positions. Lt Julian advised that we currently have several applicants that are still interested and <br />will be going forward in the process. <br />Lt. Julian and Amanda Carnell spoke briefly about dispatch and the need for more part-time <br />positions. <br />Lt. Julian discussed the release of information to the public and presented several samples of <br />"news releases" to the commissioners. <br />Lt. Julian discussed the plans for the FTO program and Probationary Officer Kyle Vaughn. <br />Attorney Charles Braun via telephone welcomed new Commissioner Ernie Wilson. <br />Commissioner Danny Lundy presented Officer Brian Anderson with his "Years of Service" <br />certificate for 23 years completed. <br />Commissioner Danny Lundy presented Lt. Randy Rogers with his "Years of Service" certificate <br />for 20 years completed. <br />
