Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department Board of Police Commissioners Larry Bryant Fred Settle Danny Lundy MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission held at the Mooresville Police Department on March 21, 2019. MEMBERS PRESENT: Larry Bryant, Fred Settle, Danny Lundy ALSO PRESENT: Chief Allen, Charles Braun, Anthony Woodside, Amanda Carrell Call to order at 6:00 PM. Fred Settle made a motion to accept the minutes from the February meeting. Danny Lundy seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. Chief Allen updated the Police Commission that all five new police vehicles have been painted, outfitted and are on the road. One vehicle is still in for repairs but they should be completed soon. Chief Allen updated the Police Commission that the new police department is coming along great. The dispatch consoles were installed this week and completed today. There will be a walk- thru tomorrow (March 22nd at 1:00 PM) with Sunco. Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the hiring process. Three applicants remain in the process and he would like the permission and approval of the Police Commission to present them with a conditional offer of employment pending the physical and psychological tests. Once they pass the two tests, the pension board will meet and send them to PERF (their pension 1977 Police and Fire Pension) for approval. Chief Allen updated the Police Commission on the statistics for the month of February. Charles Braun advised the Police Commission that part of his job is to keep an eye on any new laws that might be passed through the current session of the House. Because the session is extended this year, he has nothing to report until it is complete. As soon as the session is over, he will update the Police Commission on anything that might involve them. The next meeting will be held on April 18, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Mooresville Police Department. THESE MINUTES SO APPROVED ON THIS DAY THE 18th day of April 2019.
