Town Council Comments— <br />Councilman Warthen asked about BZA and Planning Commission meetings, and if they will be back in <br />normal operation, and if proper notification has been given to people with items on the agenda. The <br />BZA and Planning Commission plan to have a meeting on May 14`n <br />Councilman Stanley mentioned the proposed all business COVID-19 relief memo that was sent to the <br />members of the Town Council requesting a joint meeting with the RDC on Thursday, May 7th at 6:30 PM. <br />Council President Williams mentioned that the application for the OCRA Grant had been paused due to <br />the program running out of money, the Town will be notified if more funds become available through <br />that program. Council President Williams also stated that he had sent an email to the Police Chief <br />requesting a tornado siren test. This test is to take place on Tuesday May 19, 2020 at 6:30 PM. Council <br />President Williams announced his donation of his first quarter Salary of $750 to the town of Mooresville <br />to begin upgrading the technology in the meeting room of the Government Center. <br />Councilman Warthen shared his concerns about the BZA scheduling a meeting on May 14th without <br />giving proper notification to all pending applicants. Councilman Warthen stated he had received phone <br />calls from the applicants giving their concerns of not being notified. Town Attorney Chou-il Lee stated <br />the next scheduled meeting is May 14th. <br />Councilman Stanley announced a special joint meeting of the RDC and the Town Council on Thursday, <br />May 7th at 6:30 PM. The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on <br />Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government center. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion to adjourn was made <br />by Councilman Stanley with a second from Councilman Warthen Motion Carried 5-0. <br />Shane B.
