1553 <br />New Business: <br />GIS 39 Degree North Annual Agreement - This agreement is the mapping system that allows <br />the Town to update zoning changes and property lines. <br />Councilman Warthen made the Motion to accept the contract. Councilman Stanley seconded. Motion <br />carried 5-0 <br />Department Head Reports : <br />D ✓, <br />oc�fobff <br />David Moore stated the leaf pickup season is scheduled for Noueax;laer 19 -Dec 4th. <br />The parts for the coach lights came in, and they will be installed soon. <br />There is a proposal from Banning Engineering to assist the Town with the 2021 Community Crossing <br />Grant. They want to apply for a 1 million dollar grant before October 26th, requiring a 25% match from <br />the town. Councilman Warthen stated the cost of the agreement of $34,000.00 could be paid from the <br />LR&S Fund. <br />Councilman Warthen made a motion to enter into the agreement with Banning Engineering. Councilman <br />Cook seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Matt Dalton, Fire Department, gave the run report for September. He requested permission to start the <br />application process to hire for two open positions. Councilman Cook made a motion to approve the <br />process to hire for open positions. Seconded by Councilman Warthen. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Legal: <br />Village of Eastmore Street Dedication Section 2 is ready to dedicate for the right of way, sidewalks, and <br />streets. Councilman Warthen made a motion to approve Resolution 12-2020, Councilman Stanley <br />seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Resolution 15-2020 is a Utility easement from the redevelopment commission for the sanitary <br />sewer that will have to cross Merriman Road. Councilman Warthen made a motion <br />to pass Resolution 15-2020 accepting the easement. Councilman Stanley seconded. Motion <br />carried 5-0 <br />Public Comments: NONE <br />Councilman Warthen made the Motion to approve claims for $1,199,26.03 . Councilman <br />Stanley seconded. Motion carried 5-0 <br />Town Council Comments: <br />Councilman Stanley gave an update on the Employee handbook and projected the rewrite to be done <br />by the end of October. The council will review it and it will be passed on to the department heads to <br />check. <br />Council President Williams mentioned the computers in the meeting room have been malfunctioning, <br />and he would like to look at replacing them. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, October <br />20, 2020 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion to adjourn was made <br />by Councilman Stanley with a second from Councilwoman Cook.
