Minutes of the Council for the Town of Mooresville Special Meeting on 1/26/2021 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in a special meeting on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 6:30 P.M. at the <br />Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were Tom Warthen via telephone, Dustin Stanley, Greg Swinney, Shane <br />Williams and Jeff Cook. Town attorney Lee was present. <br />Council President Warthen called the special meeting to order and turned the meeting over to Vice — <br />President Councilman Stanley. <br />Councilman Stanley gave the prayer <br />Councilman Stanley asked town attorney Lee to present the reason for the executive session. Town <br />attorney Lee stated the council met in executive session to talk over pending litigation. Town attorney <br />Lee recommendation to this council is to give authorization to Banning Engineering and Taft Stettinius & <br />Hollister, to proceed together to address offers of eminent domain for the southern sewer project. <br />Councilman Swinney made a motion to give authorization and seconded by Councilman Williams. <br />Motion Carried 5-0. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, February <br />2, 2021 at 6:30 P.M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion to adjourn by <br />Councilman Swinney and seconded from Councilman Williams.
