8.2 Holiday Time <br />A. Policy. It is the policy of 'the Town to designate <br />certain holidays as paid days off in each calendar <br />year. <br />B. Recognized Holidays Shall Be: <br />( New Year's Day (January 1"") <br />9 Martin Luther King Day (third Monday of January) <br />3 Presidents Day (third Monday of February) <br />k.1 Good Friday (Friday preceding Easter) <br />6 Primary Election Day <br />(in years with State and Municipal elections) <br />(n Memorial Day (last Monday of May) <br />Independence Day (July 4th) <br />Labor Day (first- Monday of September) <br />Columbus Day (second Monday in October) <br />+() General Election Day <br />(in years with State and Municipal elections) <br />11 Veteran's Day (November 11) <br />(� Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday of November) <br />) S Day after Thanksgiving <br />1c-(- Christmas Eve (December 24th) <br />Ir, Christmas Day (December 25th) <br />Three (3) personal days scheduled with the supervisor or <br />Department Head's approval based on an eight (8) hour <br />work day <br />C. Employees who work on recognized holidays will be <br />compensated as follows: <br />:i.. All Police Officers and Police clerical workers <br />shal.lfreceive regular pay on any holiday but <br />shall be entitled to any overtime accrued for <br />that work or if it is a regular eight (8) hour <br />shift to have an additional eight (8) hours taken <br />off at a later time during the year with the <br />Department Head approval. <br />I <br />
