.iE <br />March 08, 2021 <br />The meeting called to order at 7:00 pm. Board members present were Mark Taylor, David Pearson, <br />Brian Wiser, Lynn Adams, Erin Bechtold, Danny Shaw, and Perry King, Supt. Brent Callahan. Asst. Supt. <br />Kris Wilson, Office Mgr. Stacy Freeman. Guests include Brandon Bender and his parents. <br />Minutes of February 8, 2021, approved with last name correction. Motion made by David Pearson, <br />seconded by Danny Shaw. Motion carried. <br />Supt. Callahan opened with the request for Brandon Bender's Eagle Scout Project. Brandon introduced <br />himself, project intention, and request to build and install a library box at OTP. Motion to approve the <br />Eagle Scout project of a library box at OTP. Motion was made by Erin Bechtold, seconded by Mark <br />Taylor. Motion carried. <br />President Brian Wiser reported that the park soccer committee established in the last meeting offered <br />a $100hr league fee to the women's soccer league. <br />The women's league asked to negotiate the price. Board discussion. Motion to counteroffer with a <br />final rate of $75hr to the women's soccer league. Motion was made by Mark Taylor, seconded by <br />Danny Shaw. Motion carried. <br />President Brian Wiser presented two requests for facility use. First, Clean-up Day May 1, headquarters <br />would be at OTP. Motion to use OTP on May 1. Motion was made by David Pearson, seconded by Erin <br />Bechtold. Motion carried. <br />Second, Mooresville Block Party would be on June 5th center of operations would be at Bicentennial <br />Park. Motion to use Bicentennial Park on June 5, contingent on Town Council approval. Motion was <br />made by Mark Taylor, seconded by David Pearson. Motion carried. <br />Assistant Superintendent Wilson reports there were two RECU new hires. She asked the Board to <br />approve the new hires (Cory Blanford and Issac Carson). Motion to approve the new hires. A motion <br />was made by Erin Bechtold, seconded by Mark Taylor. Motion carried. <br />Asst. Superintendent informed Board that the Carpenter Reality Easter Egg hunt was canceled. A <br />coloring contest will be in its place. The winner will receive a pool pass to Mooresville Family Aquatic <br />Center, compliments of Carpenter. <br />Supt. Callahan updated the Board on the mower repairs, status of OTP and playground tiles. The <br />playground tiles are scheduled for the 2nd week in May. <br />Board discussed grant opportunities. <br />Claims approved as presented. Motion made by Erin Bechtold, seconded by David Pearson. Motion <br />carried. <br />
